Tommy Hilfiger celebrates opening new Paris store on boulevard des capucines

Tommy Hilfiger, which is owned by PVH Corp. [NYSE: PVH], announces that American fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger hosted an exclusive event on March 31 to celebrate the opening of a new Tommy Hilfiger store in Paris. Located at 43 boulevard des Capucines, it is the brand’s second store in the city and situated in the 9th arrondissement near the Place de la Madeleine and across from the L’Olympia Bruno Coquatrix music hall, amongst an eclectic mix of upscale international and local retailers. “Opening our new boulevard des Capucines store represents an exciting behatiprinslootommyanddeehilfigeroliviapalermoandjohanneshuebl1024x666moment for our brand, and the new location is the perfect complement to our flagship on the Champs-Élysées,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “Paris is incredibly inspiring and the city continues to play an important role for our brand in the French market.” Guests at the cocktail event were invited to browse the latest Tommy Hilfiger Spring/Summer 2015 collections and snap keepsake images at a unique photo booth. A performance was given by The Misshapes, the New York City-based DJ collective formed by Leigh Lezark and Geordon Nicol. Following the cocktail event, a VIP dinner was held at the newly-opened Les Bains restaurant. Dating back to 1885, the once sulfur baths were the most famous private baths in Paris; in the 1970s the space transformed into a nightclub and cultural institution, and in March 2015 it reopened as a restaurant, hotel, spa and club. The Tommy Hilfiger boulevard des Capucines store is housed in a historic former bank building from the 19th century, and many original rita-ora-and-behati-prinsloo_1024x1539architectural elements were preserved while redesigning the space. The store showcases a range of the brand’s collections including Hilfiger Collection, Tommy Hilfiger Tailored, menswear, womenswear, underwear, footwear and accessories. Mr. Hilfiger’s visit to Paris is a part of his year-long program of special events to commemorate the 30th anniversary of his brand, which he founded in 1985 The event was attended by celebrities including Tommy and Dee Hilfiger who wore a Hilfiger Collection burgundy and satin top with black satin pants, supermodel Behati Prinsloo, who wore a Hilfiger Collection burgundy sleeveless velvet dress, singer and song writer Rita Ora who wore a Hilfiger Collection Alumni Cape and black and blue sequin tattoo t-shirt dress, New York street style icons Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl also joined the celebrations; Olivia wore a burgundy and blue long sleeve crepe dress and Johannes wore Tommy Hilfiger Tailored. Other guests included French actresses Leila Bekhit, Virginie Ledoyen, Ludivine Sagnier, Lou Le Sage, Joséphine de la Baume, Marie-Ange Casta, Ophélie Meunier and Deborah François, all in Hilfiger Collection. Also in attendance were actors Hugo Becker and Jeremy Kapone wearing Tommy Hilfiger Tailored.
